We Held a Cleanup Activity at Gamo Tidal Flat as Part of Environment Month

On June 18, all employees participated in a cleanup of the Gamō Tidal Flat, a traditional event held during Environment Month.
This year marks the fifth year since the initiative began in 2022.
Thanks to our ongoing efforts, the amount of trash has decreased dramatically compared to the first year.
This is a testament to the dedicated efforts of local residents who continue to clean the area on a daily basis.
Fifteen years have passed since the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Although the tidal flat was once in danger of disappearing,
we could truly feel firsthand how its rich natural environment is making a vigorous comeback.

Kamou Tidal Flat serves as a vital resting place for many migratory birds, including the Little Tern, which has a special connection to our facilities.
To preserve this environment for future generations, we will continue these activities moving forward.
