On August 30, a “Candlelight Memorial Service” was held at Nakano Tradition Hill to honor those who lost their lives in the Great East Japan Earthquake and to provide an opportunity to reflect on the region’s history and cherished memories.

Unfortunately, it rained on the day of the event, so the venue was moved inside the power plant; nevertheless, approximately 80 people attended. Attendees offered a moment of silence by the light of candles lit along the steps of Tradition Hill, and as the heart-stirring melody of the shinobue flute echoed through the air, the venue was enveloped in a warm atmosphere of prayer.
On the same day, a special guided tour of the “Gamo Nakanō Nostalgia Museum” was also held, where participants shared the region’s history and memories through exhibits and videos.
