Morinomiyako Biomass Power Plant has received a certificate of appreciation from the Mayor of Sendai as a “2026 Greenery Meritorious Contributor” for our sponsorship of the “Hometown Forest Regeneration Project” promoted by the City of Sendai.

This award recognizes our efforts during the tree-planting event held last November at Nishihara Park, which is adjacent to our power plant. At the event, we donated 17 black pine saplings to serve as symbols of the park.

We sincerely hope that the saplings we planted with such care alongside everyone will grow strong and healthy. We will continue to watch over their growth with care, so that Nishihara Park may serve as a “Hometown Forest” that connects the memories of the earthquake disaster to the future and is cherished by the local community for generations to come.
