We conducted an on-site inspection of the perimeter forest (remaining forest)

On July 30, as part of the Regional Committee’s activities, we conducted an on-site inspection of the forest surrounding the Nasu-Shiobara Solar Power Plant (retained forest).
Approximately 11 years have passed since the power plant began operations, and in the perimeter forest, natural regeneration of Japanese red pine and sprouting regeneration of Japanese oak and Japanese chestnut are progressing extremely well. We also confirmed the presence of a diverse range of insects within the cultivated forest and received very valuable guidance from our environmental advisor regarding future sustainable use of the area.
We will continue to work in collaboration with the local community and experts to strive for the conservation and sustainable use of this rich natural environment.
