On June 12, we conducted our annual environmental cleanup activity at the Gamo Higata Tidal Flats as part of Environment Month. In response to growing environmental awareness in the community, we were pleased to observe a significant reduction in the amount of trash on the tidal flat this year. During this time of year, the Gamo Higata Tidal Flats is a vibrant place teeming with life, as various organisms are actively engaged in their daily activities. In particular, the blooming flowers of the beach morning glory create a beautiful sight that delights visitors. Fourteen years have passed since the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and we were able to feel that Gamo Higata Tidal Flats is gradually regaining its former rich natural environment.
