The “Gamo Nakano Kyoshukan” a disaster heritage facility located within the Mori no Miyako Biomass Power Plant, has been included in the newly published “3.11 Heritage Roadmap (Miyagi Prefecture Edition).”
The “Gamo Nakano Kyoshukan” was designated as a disaster heritage facility of the third category by the 3.11 Heritage Road Promotion Organization, a general incorporated foundation, in August 2024.
This year, the facility is already scheduled to host visits from university students on field trips and elementary school students on extracurricular activities, among others. We hope that people from all regions will visit the facility and utilize it as a place to pass on the memories and lessons of the disaster to future generations.
