On August 26, 2026, we presented our initiatives for regional coexistence during an administrative study tour organized by the Iwate Prefecture Association of Towns and Villages. This study tour is held annually with the aim of promoting the development of local autonomy and ensuring the smooth operation of local government.

At this year’s venue, the “Karumai Cultural Exchange Center: Ukame Hall,” we delivered a presentation to mayors of towns and villages within the prefecture and other relevant stakeholders. We introduced our unique initiatives for walking alongside the community, including our power generation projects at Karumai West, Karumai East, and Karumai Sonbo Solar, as well as environmental education programs for junior and senior high school students and local residents.

After the presentation, the group moved to the “Millet Park Solar Hall,” where a site tour allowed participants to gain a deeper understanding of our renewable energy initiatives and the actual operation of our facilities. We will continue to contribute to sustainable regional development through the operation of power plants rooted in the local community.
