We conducted a planting test in Akita Prefecture for fast-growing trees for biomass power generation fuel, such as ｗillow and paulownia,which will reach their harvesting stage in two to five years.
A total of 500 seedlings were planted in two locations in the prefecture with the cooperation of material producers and the Akita Forestry College,and we plan to collect data such as the amount of growth by each tree species.

＊fast-growing trees；A general term for fast-growing species of trees. They can be harvested after a relatively short growth period.
