At the electric utility that I worked for previously, I was responsible for work related to the connection of renewable energy to the grid. There, I strongly felt the extraordinary enthusiasm of renewable energy companies. They were that enthusiastic probably because success or failure in their consultations with electric utilities is linked directly to the success or failure of their projects. I was gradually attracted to the people from those companies, who were acting with enthusiasm and thinking seriously about how to advance their projects. They always looked forward and worked enthusiastically to open the future on their own. I wanted to work aggressively like them. I wanted to make better use of my knowledge as an engineer. This is why I decided to make the career move to RENOVA.

On my first day at RENOVA, I went on a business trip to Iwate. I went there to inspect a solar PV project under development. This made me understand clearly that RENOVA attaches more importance to speed than anything else and values things happening on site rather than desk calculations.
In the renewable energy industry, there are many enthusiastic people -- this impression, which I had before I made the career move, has remained unchanged, even after I joined RENOVA. The company and the team have clear objectives, and all the team members are thinking about how to achieve them. The high morale of the team is an appealing feature of RENOVA.

I specialize in electricity. In my previous job, specialized jobs were divvied up by department. My the work was mostly fixed. But RENOVA is different. RENOVA has the Engineering division, which includes engineers from different areas of expertise. That is it. In the process of advancing a project, we face many unknown issues. It is therefore meaningless to create rules about which problems should be solved by which members. This is why RENOVA’s engineers must have knowledge in many areas, share that knowledge with other team members, and work together to overcome each issue.
I had been informed of this before I joined RENOVA. But it was hard when I actually tried to do it! However, it was because I wanted to take on challenges like this that I made the career move. It is very interesting to absorb knowledge in fields other than my specialty. My jobs at RENOVA give me the joy to develop myself into a Multi-Field Engineer, which is not an ordinary engineer.

At present, I am involved in a diverse set of projects, including the Project for Offshore Wind Power Generation. I work on tasks including explaining the construction work to local people. In addition, offshore wind power generation requires knowledge in fields that are completely different from my specialty, such as the simulation of wind conditions. I keep learning every day.
RENOVA has wonderful people who continue to take on new challenges enthusiastically. My current objective is to complete the projects with them and develop RENOVA into a leading company.
